Bachelor's and 6 to 9 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 4 to 7 years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
(Note: The following skills represent the combined strength of the team of developers, and do not necessarily require a single person on the team to excel in most of the skills listed below.) However, the areas highlighted below are particularly important for success in this position.
• Solid experience grounded in Java software development and related technologies (minimum 2-4 years’ work experience), to include leveraging skills in:
o Java Technologies: JDK 1.6, JDBC, Spring, Log4J, XML data representation
o Server/Client Authentication, Two-way SSL
o Integration with Corporate software libraries and Web Services
o Familiarity with Configuration Management/Build/Development Environments: MAVEN, ANT, Eclipse, SVN, Ticket Tracking Systems (e.g., JIRA)
o Familiarity with SQL and Database Systems (Oracle in particular), SQL Developer
o Familiarity with PHP and Perl
o Familiarity with Java development and data representation languages (e.g., RDF/OWL)
o JBoss Application Server
o Java Web Services – REST (mostly) and SOAP
o Altering existing GUIs
• Experience running under Tomcat in Linux (Production) and Windows (Development) environments (2+ years)
• Familiarity with software design and coding at both the application and system level
Desired Specific Skills:
• Experience with Jersey
• Familiarity with XSLT, SAX Processing and Processors, Groovy, Java Messaging Service (JMS)
U.S. Citizenship required. Current TS/SCI with polygraph required.
